CANHIS Spectrograph

canhis CanHiS (Cananea High-Resolution Spectrograph) is an echelle f / 13.5 spectrograph, "R3.2", which can reach a very high resolution (R ≈ 40000 with a 100 micron slit, up to R ≈ 180000 with a 25 micron slit ). Its "quasi-Littrow" type design makes use of bandpass filters (instead of a cross dispersor), to isolate individual dispersion orders. Its average coverage range is from approximately 50 Å (about 4500 Å), to 140 Å (about 7800 Å). CanHis can be used in direct mode coupled to the 2.1m telescope stage or with fibers and the FICUS polarization analysis module.
