echelleEchelle spectrograph

 

The Echelle spectrograph, for exclusive use with the 2.1m telescope, was built in the late 70's by the French firm REOSC. Its maximum resolution is R = 18,000 at 5,000Å. This gives a resolution of 17 km/s within 2 pixels.
