Bolitas spectrograph

Small Boller & Chivens medium resolution spectrograph  (a.k.a. Bolitas) model 26767, was acquired in 1974 for use in the Cassegrain focus of the 0.84m telescope. It is an instrument which is equipped with all the fittings of a standard spectrograph needed to produce stellar and nebular spectra. It has a  dispersive element, slits of different sizes, comparison lamp systems, masks, shutter, collimator, and camera. It is used for projects ranging from the spectral classification of variable stars, the study of symbiotic stars and the spectroscopic classification of standards stars among others.
