OPTICAM
This instrument was designed to perform rapid photometry on three channels simultaneously.
It has a system of three fast detectors (with high temporal resolution) that allows simultaneous optical images in 3 colors. These detectors have CMOS technology (Andor Zyla 4.2-Plus) and the instrument also has a set of filters Astrodon Gen2 SDSS u’ g’ r’ i’ z’ that allow coverage in the range of 320 to 1,100 nm.
OPTICAM nominally allows exposures on the order of sub-seconds. Given its instrumental design, a wide range of rapidly changing astrophysical sources can be observed with this instrument.
